restorative Workshop

Therapists and helping professionals are often called to hold suffering with steadiness, openness, and care. Over time, this can create subtle yet persistent nervous system strain — a quiet bracing, over-responsibility, or gradual erosion of inner resources — even when the work remains deeply meaningful.

This workshop offers guided restorative experiences for therapists and helping professionals, centered on rest and replenishment. Supported by sound bath and cacao, the gathering creates space to pause, soften, and receive.

Held on International Women’s Day, this offering honours rest as a powerful and necessary form of care.

Practices You’ll Experience

This workshop offers a sequence of guided, experiential practices designed to support parasympathetic activation, and embodied self-regulation. Practices include:

  • Gentle somatic movement to support grounding and orientation through breath, posture, and interoceptive awareness, with attention to sensing nervous system cues and allowing safe discharge of residual stress or emotional activation.

  • Restorative yoga, emphasizing physical support, minimal muscular effort, and receptive states that facilitate rest, repair, and autonomic settling.

  • Somatic self-compassion practices incorporating self-touch, vocal tone, and mindful awareness to strengthen internal safety, and self-soothing capacity.

  • Gong Sound Bath — an immersive sound experience using the resonant tones of the gong to support deep relaxation, nervous system settling, and integrative rest
