We all have the power to reconnect with our natural ability to heal
Hello, I'm Anna Karuna Egan (she/her). I work as a Registered Psychotherapist in private practice in Ottawa, Ontario. My approach is designed to help you uncover and nurture a compassionate inner voice, and remain rooted in the present moment.
I offer therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families, in-person in Ottawa, Ontario, and virtually across the province. Additionally, I'm a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher with over two decades of yoga practice and extensive training as a meditation teacher. As both a teacher and therapist, I aspire that meditation and holistic therapy will foster awareness and serve as catalysts for developing relational intelligence, spiritual depth, and innate wisdom.

Family therapy is a collaborative approach that involves working with families to help them improve communication, and create healthier dynamics. As a therapist, I view the family as a complex system where each member plays a role and contributes to the overall functioning of the unit. My goal is to help families identify and understand their patterns of interaction, as well as the underlying issues that may be causing distress or conflict.
Through therapy, families can develop new ways of relating to one another, strengthen their bonds, and navigate challenges more effectively.
Spiritually Integrated therapy
Spiritually integrated psychotherapy combines traditional therapeutic approaches with spiritual practices to address mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. It recognizes the significance of spirituality in individuals' lives and incorporates techniques such as mindfulness, meditation, and exploration of existential questions. This holistic approach aims to help clients connect with their inner selves, find meaning and purpose, and achieve personal growth and healing.
Helping you return to your body as sacred ground
Embodiment
For thousands of years, traditional healing systems such as Yoga and Buddhist contemplative practices have recognized what modern neuroscience is now confirming: the mind and body are inseparable. Our emotional, cognitive, and spiritual experiences live not only in our thoughts but also in our muscles, breath, posture, and nervous system.
Embodiment invites us to return to this understanding. The body is not simply where stress is stored — it is also a profound source of wisdom, resilience, and awakening. When we learn to listen inwardly, our physical experience becomes a guide for healing and transformation.
In this work, we draw from the strengths of both ancient somatic wisdom and contemporary nervous system research. Through mindful movement, physical yoga, somatic practices, and compassionate presence, we help the body release old patterns of tension, re-establish safety, and rebuild connection to a deeper sense of wholeness. As we nurture this relationship with the body, we gain access to greater clarity, meaning, and vitality — allowing healing to unfold from the inside out.
This approach honours the body as both the path and the teacher — guiding us home to ourselves.
